Orange customers can also send text messages to landline numbers that start with 01 or 02. The landline will ring and when answered, your text message will be read out. The usual voice is female, but you can choose to have the message read with a male voice by putting the characters *m# at the beginning of your text.
Texts to UK landlines are charged at your standard mobile to mobile service plan text rate.
Some landline customers can choose not to receive text messages in this way. You can confirm this with your landline service provider.
